Fish on a plank.

We have never heard about cooking fish on a plank of wood while back in Australia….. Freddys friend Hope introduced it to us about a month back (when her man Tommy came back from his 8 month tour (hes a Marine)).

To say the fish is magnificent is a little understatement. We all really enjoy cooking and eating our fish this way!

So, you start with the planks, they are just cedar or some other wood. As my mate in Uranquinty said, “better make sure its not a treated one!”…. yeah, some good advice there!

6 for 8 bucks here. A LOT more expensive in Australia!

Then, you soak them in water for 2-4 hours.

They wana float, so use a stick (or skateboard) to hold them down.

Not the fish, but a typical outside meal;

We eat a lot of meals outside here in SoCal... more so than in Ballarat, wonder why???

All in all, its a great way to enjoy your fish. Going to cost a little more in Australia to do, but if you get the chance its well worth a go. Yum Yum.
