I'm torn between what I know and what I dream.
One of my top top favorite vocal tracks.
As I've mentioned, I usually don't really gravitate to songs with vocals. I grew up on Jean-Michel Jarre and Mike Oldfield, so the pure music tracks are my jam from my pre-teen years.
That said, some tracks are worth the work....
I think I like this one mostly because of the words.
So much of what we do in life tears us apart. One decision with two choices. One that seems simple, but is often the wrong one. Choosing between what you know and what you want often has huge implications....Choosing between what you know and what you dream, to me, speaks to living for now or living for a future time.
Trying to choose between your feelings and dreams (cruel desires) or holding back those feelings for what you know is right.
Get it now, or live the long game, you know, simple things....
