We made it!
Started March 26th 2025, so not exactly a year, but eh, close enough, and wow, what an unexpected Trance year it was - I did a TON of wardriving at 3am listening to Trance to help clear my mind this past year.
Not sure if you have noticed, but most of the tracks I have posted have 30 seconds or more of just very little melody at the start, and sometimes seem to draw out at the end. That's intentional on the part of the DJ / musician making the track.
The whole point of these tracks is that they be mixed together into a longer 'set'.
My all-time Trance faves are the longer sets, like 6 to 8 hours long, but I have a few shorter ones that I'd like to share as my closing gift to all who love this style.
I do love some of the old school stuff, so if you listen to just one of these longer mixes, this is the one to enjoy. Just shy of 2 hours, but solid mixing from Armin as usual.
When I was at the hospital I had the freedom to be able to listen to a lot of these long mixes, sadly, every job since has been a LOT more restrictive and Freddy is not a huge Trance fan, so even long drives listening to long mixes are out.
I don't do the 'podcast' thing, so don't focus too much on the title. I do however really like DJ Sneijder. He consistently produces really smooth long mixes that keep me in a state of trace.
OK, I think that's enough to wrap this 'year of trance' up.
Thanks for listening along, its been a lot of fun and I've enjoyed re-listening to a lot of these tracks from the point of view of sharing them and explaining a small amount of why I like them.... And yes, I've endlessly enjoyed annoying Gary with every. single. one. of these posts.
Trance #52 - Long mix
Trance - the way it was intended.
