There is a big difference between your hobby drone and the real deal….
This video is a great example of the latter.
A lot of companies are spending a lot of time and money to come up with drone solutions.
While they are amazing, I think for now a lot of them are solutions looking for problems to solve.
Once we get batteries that can run for 8-12 hours, the applications for this sort of thing could really get exciting.
But, while you are stuck at 10-15 minutes of air time, there is not much you can do in that amount of time.
In short, having 4-8 rotors beating at the air to keep a craft aloft is inefficient.
