Metric.

I am slowly (very very slowly) am getting my head around what a mile is…. Mostly due to my running and cycling it I guess.
I know I weigh 170 pounds, but have no idea how heavy that is. 77kg, now you’re talking something I understand.
I know what an inch is, and roughly how long it is because I know its 25.4 mm and I know how long that is… But what in the world is 1/64 or 1/8th of an inch? I have no idea. Its frustratingly hard for me to try and count all the blips on the ruler to try and figure out what a 16th of an inch is.
I dearly love and clutch close to my heart my orange tape measure that I brought with me from Australia, it has both, one on each side. I take it every time I shop for any lengths.

Anyway, point is, there is just something clean about the metric system.
Now that I have tried to live both, I can appreciate the two systems…..

At the end of the day however, there is this map…..

Tied in with the map from a few days back, its just a case of I’m not sure what.
The numbers speak for themselves.
The USA really needs to get with the rest of the world and just bite the bullet and change.
Its as simple as that.
