An Unfinished Life
What a breath of fresh air. A beautiful movie that is well acted and well shot.
Look for it if you like to watch a movie that is not about guns and explosions.
We are on the look out for it on DVD, yeah, its a definite owner!

Transformers
Very entertaining. This is what ‘block buster’ movies are all about. They dont try and be intelligent, they dont bother with things like character development, they just go from the start with amazing computer graphics, nice explosions, and just enough glue to hold your attention for an hour and a half.
Every member of the family enjoyed this one, it was a nice way to spend rainy afternoon…..I want to see the making of it….my guess is that somewhere, there is a smoldering Linux render farm that owes the power company a whole bunch of money! The detail was fantastic, the dynamics was about right, the bar has been raised yet again for what the computer can do in the hands of a talented team.
Be sure and check this one out when it comes out on DVD or on TV if you must.

Fantastic Four – Rise of the silver surfer
Sometimes, its best to leave well enough alone, and not do a sequel. This is the case this time around. It was just an ok movie, would not own it and not happy about spending 48 bucks to take the family to see it.
It is a far fetch for the viewer, an out of space black planet swallowing cloud with a dude on a surfboard that goes before him to drill holes into the doomed planet…..oh, the guy on the board? Yeah, he loves his ‘girlfriend’ back home so much that he has no choice, but in the end, he really does have a choice…….please!
