Back yard time clock time lapse test.

48 seconds of your life…. what’s 48 seconds between friends?

One of the guys at work modified a 24 hour time clock for me, he put a tripod thread on the main output gear.
Sat the clock on the coffee table on the back patio, screwed on the Canon 40d and let her rip for about 11 hours taking a frame every 30 seconds.

This is the result, and for the most part, I am happy.
Its a bit jerky, taking frames more often than every 30 seconds would help with that I suspect.
For the most part, it was a test of the time clock, the pan rate was hard for me to visualize, but I really like it. For long time spans, its really nice to have such a smooth pan of the camera…. I just don’t think the backyard is all that exciting, but the concept is what’s important….. Its my first ever moving time lapse!

And its important for me to share it with you lot…. so shut up and be impressed!
(Dad, don’t worry about trying to get it down, I will bring it on a USB stick when I come over).
