Some of you might have missed it (Im looking at you sis), but last week there was a sunspot that unleashed a pretty good sized outburst and it smacked into the earth’s protective magnetic field.
This caused a pretty solid aurora in the northern hemisphere.
I messaged Trevor and Amy to check it out, but they were busy and did not get a chance to step outside and look up.
Sadly it did not reach as far south as California.
But, our brothers in Canada saw it….. and how!
Usually auroras are pretty slow moving and need to be photographed in time lapse mode, not this bad boy.

That is just amazing. Just mind blowing.
Seeing an aurora is on my bucket list, doubt I get to see one like this, so will just re-watch the video. Again.
